Javed Salon

Javed Salon is located at Shop No.C-598 in Dakshinpuri. We are quite close to Mahila Mangal, so if you live around here, you probably know the spot already. The shop has been a part of this street for quite some time now. It’s a straightforward place for a haircut or a shave. We don’t have any fancy decorations on the walls, just the mirrors and the equipment we need to do our jobs properly. Every morning, we roll up the shutters and get things ready for the first customers. Usually, it's the older men from the block who come in early. Dakshinpuri is a crowded part of Delhi, and our shop is no different. It can get a bit tight when there are four or five people waiting on the wooden bench. We have a small television that usually plays the news or some music to keep everyone occupied while they wait. The tools are kept in those little plastic drawers, and we make sure everything is clean before we start on a new person. It’s hard work standing on your feet all day, but it’s what we do for a living. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know us from the sign outside and word of mouth from their neighbors. It’s a local barber shop through and through. We really appreciate the people who keep coming back to see us year after year. It’s a good community.
