Shivam Handicrafts

You can find us at B-122 in Jangpura. It's a decent spot, though parking around here is always a bit of a mess for anyone coming to visit. Shivam Handicrafts is basically just a few rooms filled with tools and stuff we’re working on. We do a lot of the heavy lifting ourselves. My back usually hurts by the end of the day from moving crates around. We make all sorts of items, mostly whatever people are asking for at the time. We don’t really follow a strict schedule. If there’s work to be done, we stay late. If it’s quiet, we might head home early to spend time with family. The building is an older one, so it stays a bit cool in the winter which is nice, but the summer heat is another thing entirely. We have a few fans going but they mostly just move the hot air around. We’ve had this place for years. The front door sticks a bit in the rainy season. People in Jangpura know us as the place that’s always got some kind of project sitting out on the workbench. We don’t put on airs or pretend to be something we aren't. We just make things and hope they last a long time for whoever buys them. It’s a straightforward business. We keep our heads down and keep working. There isn't much more to it than that, just getting things done day by day.
