Shekhawati Art & Collection

We are tucked away at number 6 in Hauz Khas Village. If you know the area, you know it’s a mix of old history and newer shops, and we’ve been part of that for a while. Our shop is full of different pieces we’ve gathered over time. It’s not the kind of place where everything is lined up perfectly on a shelf. It’s more of a collection where you might find something interesting tucked in a corner. We deal with art and various items that have a bit of character to them. The walls are pretty much covered, and sometimes it’s hard to see the floor with all the stuff we have sitting around. It’s a bit cramped, but that’s the charm of being in the village. People walk in from the narrow streets just to browse and see what’s new. We spend a lot of time cleaning things or rearranging the display when a piece sells. It’s a quiet kind of work, mostly talking to visitors or looking at new items that come our way. We don’t try to push anything on anyone. If you like something, you like it. The light comes in through the front, but the back of the shop stays a bit dim, which suits the older items well. It’s just a small shop run by people who appreciate the things we sell. Nothing more, nothing less.
