Shalinee Jewels is tucked away at A-11, D.D.A. Commercial Complex in the Moolchand Shopping Centre. Being here in Defence Colony means we get a mix of all kinds of people walking by. Our shop isn't one of those massive, intimidating jewelry stores you see in the big malls. It’s a more comfortable, slightly older space where we’ve been for quite some time. The glass cases are a bit heavy to move, and we spend a good chunk of every morning just wiping them down so the jewelry can be seen clearly. We don't really go for the high-pressure sales stuff. Usually, we’re just sitting here, maybe fixing a clasp or showing someone a few options for a gift. The Moolchand area has its own charm, even if parking can be a total nightmare most days. We’ve known some of our customers for years, seeing their families grow and coming back to us when they need something special. It’s a small operation, and we like it that way because we can actually keep track of everything. The office in the back is usually piled with boxes and old ledgers, but we know exactly where everything is. It’s a quiet, steady kind of business. We don’t have any big mission statements or fancy slogans, we just open the shop, put out the trays, and wait to see who comes through the door today.
