The Home Concept

The Home Concept is tucked away in the basement of N-22 in Kalkaji. It’s not the easiest place to spot from the main road, but we like the quiet down here. We work on interior stuff and home items mostly. The space is filled with fabric swatches, wood samples, and a few prototypes we’ve been working on. It’s definitely not a polished showroom. It’s more of a place where we sit down and figure out how to make things work for a house. There’s a bit of dust because we are always moving things around. We don't have a big team of designers in suits. It’s just us in our regular clothes, often with a tape measure around our necks. Kalkaji is a lively neighborhood, so there is always someone walking by or a car honking upstairs. The basement stays cool even when it’s boiling outside, which is a big plus for us. We have a small desk where we keep our records and a kettle for making coffee. We aren't a huge company with a big mission. We just help people get their homes sorted out. Sometimes we get a bit behind on the paperwork, but we eventually catch up. It’s a relaxed place to work, and we’ve been here long enough that the local shopkeepers are all our friends. We just take things one project at a time until the job is done.
