Shahen-Shah India

Our office is down in Suit No. 6 on the L.G. floor of the Millennium Business Centre. It’s right there at 34, Corner Market in Malviya Nagar. Being on the lower ground floor means we don’t get much natural light, so we rely on those buzzing overhead tubes to see what we’re doing. Shahen-Shah India is a small operation, despite how the name might sound. We share the building with a bunch of other businesses, so the hallways are always full of people carrying papers or drinking tea. Malviya Nagar is a great place to be because of the food options nearby, though we usually just bring stuff from home and eat at our desks. The office is a bit cramped with all the files and samples we’ve collected over time. We do various types of trade work, mostly coordinating things over the phone or through emails. It gets a bit hectic when multiple things happen at once, and the space feels even smaller then. Sometimes the elevator in the business centre acts up, so we end up taking the stairs a lot. It’s not a shiny, polished office like you see in the movies. It’s just a practical workspace where we try to keep things moving. We’ve been in this corner of the market for a while, and we’ve gotten used to the noise and the way the basement feels cool even when it’s hot outside.
