Saree Mubarak

Saree Mubarak is located up on the second floor of B-11 in Mayfair Gardens. It’s right on August Kranti Marg, almost next door to the Hauz Khas police station. Being on the second floor means you have to walk up a bit, which is a little workout every morning. The space is fairly quiet compared to the main road outside, which can get really loud with all the traffic heading towards Hauz Khas. We’ve been here for some time and the walls are covered with shelves full of our stock. It’s not a very big room, so we have to be smart about how we pile things up. Sometimes it takes a moment to pull out exactly what someone is looking for. We don’t have a flashy entrance or anything. It’s just a plain door that leads into our workspace. Most of the day is spent folding things back up and making sure everything stays somewhat organized, though it never stays that way for long. The light coming through the windows in the afternoon is quite nice. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in Delhi. We just like our little corner in Mayfair Gardens. It’s a steady life, and we’ve gotten to know the other people in the building pretty well over the years. If you find the police station, you’re only a few steps away from us.
