Saraswati Plastic Works

Saraswati Plastic Works is located in the Flatted Factories Complex at Okhla. We are in Phase-III, at unit E-237. The complex is huge and it can be hard to find us the first time you visit. The sound of the plastic molding machines is constant throughout the day. It gets quite hot in the workspace, especially during the summer months. We have several large fans going, but they mostly just move the warm air around. We work in shifts to keep the production moving. Most of our guys have been here since we first opened the doors. We make a variety of plastic parts, mostly small things that go into bigger machines. There is always a pile of scrap plastic in the corner that we recycle back into the process. We don't have a big fancy office. Our desk is right there on the shop floor so we can see what’s happening. We keep our records in big ledgers and on an old laptop that takes forever to start up. Sometimes the supply of raw pellets is delayed, and we have to shuffle the schedule around. It’s a messy, loud environment, but we like the routine of it. We take our breaks together and talk about the cricket scores or our families. It’s just a normal day at the factory for us.
