Sandeep Saree Palace

Sandeep Saree Palace is located at number 340 in the Main Market of Badarpur. If you know this market, you know how packed it gets. There are bikes parked everywhere and people pushing through the narrow spaces. Our shop is right in the middle of all that chaos. We have been here for a long time, and the building shows its age a bit. The paint is peeling in some corners, and the shelves are a little bowed from the weight of all the sarees. We don't have a big marketing department or anything. It’s just us and the stock. We spend the morning pulling out the heavy bundles and setting things up so people can see them. The market is loud, with vendors shouting and horns honking all the time. You just learn to talk over the noise. We have a small back room where we keep the extra stock and an old kettle for making chai. Sometimes the electricity goes out for an hour, and we just sit in the doorway until it comes back on. It’s a practical way to live. We know the other shopkeepers, and we all watch out for each other. The work isn't fancy, but it keeps us going. We deal with the heat in the summer and the rain in the monsoon, just like everyone else in the market. It’s just a regular shop doing regular business day after day.
