Royale Handicrafts

You can find us in the basement at G-53 in Lajpat Nagar-I. Being in a basement means we don't get a lot of natural light, but it stays a bit cooler down here when the Delhi sun is beating down on the streets above. We have handicrafts piled up on every available surface, and sometimes it’s a bit of a struggle to walk from one end of the room to the other without bumping into something. It’s a cozy space, though some might call it a bit cluttered. We don't mind it. We spend our hours checking the items, wrapping them up in bubble wrap, and getting them ready for people to take home. There is a certain smell of wood and fabric that hangs in the air, which we’ve all grown to quite like. Sometimes we sit on the steps outside for a bit of fresh air and to watch the people walking by in the market. It’s a busy neighborhood and there is always something interesting happening just outside our door. We aren't a big flashy store with glass windows. We are just a small basement operation where we do our work and keep things moving along. It’s a bit messy and we are always running out of tape, but we manage to get everything done in the end. It's just a normal day for us.
