Ravi Spices

Ravi Spices is located at A-2, DDA Flats in Kalkaji. We are really close to the Govindpuri Metro Station, which is handy for people trying to find us. Being in the DDA Flats means it feels more like a home than a big factory. We use the space to sort out all the different spices we deal with. When you walk into A-2, the first thing you notice is the smell. It’s very strong because of the peppers and turmeric and everything else we have in bags. It’s a small operation, really. Just a few of us working together to pack things up. Kalkaji is a busy area, and being near the metro means there’s a constant sound of trains and people walking by. We don’t have any big flashy advertisements on the walls. It’s mostly just shelves filled with jars and sacks. Sometimes the spice dust makes everyone sneeze, but we’re mostly used to it. We spend our days measuring out portions and sealing bags. It’s honest work and it keeps us occupied. Living and working in the same general area like this makes life a bit easier. We know the shopkeepers around the Govindpuri area quite well. They stop by for a chat sometimes. Ravi Spices isn't a corporate giant; we’re just a small group of people in a flat doing our best to get the spices out to the local markets. It’s a bit cramped, but it works for us. We just keep our heads down and keep the spices moving.
