About Ravi Deep Exports – Art & Craft in South Delhi
We’ve been tucked away in Okhla Phase II for quite a while now. Specifically, we occupy two spots, S-75 and 76. It’s always a bit of a chaotic scene here with trucks trying to navigate the narrow roads and loaders moving crates around all day. The dust from the industrial area usually settles on everything by noon. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist in a suit. Mostly, it’s just the sound of packing tape and people shouting over the noise of the machines to get things done on time. Some of the guys have worked here since the early days, and we all just know the routine. If you visit, you’ll probably find a few of us drinking tea near the front gate while waiting for a shipment to arrive. It gets really hot in the summer, but we have some old fans that keep the air moving enough to stay productive. We handle exports, which means lots of paperwork and checking labels over and over so nothing gets stuck at the port. It’s a lot of manual work, and our hands are usually dirty by the end of the shift. We just focus on getting the orders out and making sure the boxes are stacked right so they don’t tip over during transit. It's not a glamorous place, but it's where we spend most of our waking hours.
