Pandit Raja Vashisht

I’ve been operating out of C 125 in Lajpat Nagar for a while. My name is Raja Vashisht. Lajpat Nagar is a busy place with lots of markets, but my corner is a bit more tucked away. I like it that way. It gives me a bit of peace to do my work without too much distraction. I started this because it felt like the right thing for me to do. I don’t have a flashy office with glass walls or anything like that. It’s just a regular room where I can sit down and talk with people. Most of the folks who come to see me are from right here in the neighborhood. We talk about this and that. I don’t like using big words or acting like I’m someone important. I’m just a guy who knows his craft. Sometimes the place gets a bit messy, but that’s just how life is. I handle everything myself, from answering the phone to meeting everyone who walks through the door. It’s a lot of work, but I prefer it that way. You get to know people better when there isn't a middleman. I’ve lived in this city for years, and I’ve seen it change so much. But Lajpat Nagar still has that old feeling in some parts. My place at C 125 is where I feel most comfortable. If you’re in the area, you can find me. I don’t go anywhere much. Just here, working and living.
