Manisha Koushik

I’m Manisha Koushik and I’ve been based here at E 31 in Kalkaji for quite a while. It’s a comfortable space where I can sit down with people and talk. The room is decorated with things I’ve collected over the years, giving it a bit of a personal touch. It doesn't feel like a sterile doctor's office or a cold corporate building. I want people to feel like they can just sit and breathe for a minute. The street outside can be a bit loud with the traffic in Kalkaji, but once you close the door, it gets nice and quiet. I spend a lot of my time reading and researching when I’m not meeting with anyone. There’s always a stack of books on my side table and a notebook nearby. I don't use any fancy gadgets to keep track of my appointments; I just write them down in a diary like I always have. It works for me. Sometimes I have tea with the people who come to visit, and we just chat about regular things before getting into the reason they came. It’s a very human way of doing things, I think. I don't have a big staff, just me mostly, so things are very direct. If you call, you’re likely to get me on the line. I like keeping it simple and personal. It’s just the way I’ve always done it here in my corner of the world.
