My name is Acharya Manu and I’m based out of Mandhakani Enclave, house number 96, in Kalkaji. This part of Delhi has a certain feel to it, and I’ve been here long enough to feel like part of the furniture. My workspace is just a part of where I live, so it’s not a formal office. I’ve got some old chairs and a lot of books that have seen better days. I don't really have a schedule that’s set in stone. People usually call ahead or just drop a message to see if I’m around at 96. I like the independence of working this way. There’s no boss or corporate rules to follow. It’s just me and the person sitting across from me. Sometimes I’m out for a walk in the enclave or getting some fresh air, but I’m usually not far. I don’t spend money on marketing or social media stuff because I’m not really good at it. I’d rather just spend that time talking to someone who needs help. The neighborhood is fairly quiet, which is good for what I do. You won't find any big flashing signs here. Just a simple nameplate and a door that’s usually unlocked during the day. I’ve lived in Kalkaji for a long time and I don’t see myself moving anywhere else. It’s where my work and my life all happen. It gets a little dusty with the windows open, but that's just fine.
