We are over here at 81 Adchini Road. Most people know the Sri Aurobindo Marg stretch because it gets so busy during the rush hour every single day. It’s a good spot for us though. We spend most of our mornings just dusting off the shelves and moving some of the heavier brass pieces around so people can see them better. The shop has been on Main Mehrauli Road for quite some time now. When you walk in, it smells a bit like old wood and maybe some metal polish we used the day before. We have different kinds of handicrafts tucked into corners and piled up on tables. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but we know where everything is. If you ask for something specific, like a small wooden elephant or a wall hanging, one of us will probably have to climb a ladder or look under a counter. We spend a lot of time talking to the guys who bring us the items from the local workshops. They have stories about how hard it is to get the materials these days. Sometimes the tea guy comes by and we take a break right there in the middle of the boxes. It’s just how things go here. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights. We just use the regular bulbs and hope they don't flicker too much when the power acts up. It’s a bit of a squeeze when more than three people come in at once.
