Safranal Spices

We are tucked away in the Batla House area, near the university. Specifically, we are at H. No. 50, on the upper ground floor. If you walk down from Jamia Milia Islamia, you'll find us pretty easily. The air around here always smells like a mix of cardamom and whatever else we are packing that day. It's a small space, and honestly, it gets a bit crowded when the new bags of spices arrive. We spend most of our time weighing things out and putting them into smaller packets. My hands usually smell like turmeric for days, no matter how much I wash them. It’s a family thing, really. My uncle started this and now a few of us just keep it going. The university students walk by all the time, sometimes popping in out of curiosity because of the scent. We don't have any big signs or flashing lights. Just a regular door and some shelves piled high with sacks. Sometimes the electricity goes out in Jamia Nagar, and we just light a few candles and keep working by the window light. It's not a corporate setup at all. We know most of the neighbors by name. Sometimes we have a chat about the traffic while we tie up the spice bags. It’s just a normal shop doing normal work every day. We just try to keep the stuff decent and make sure people get what they pay for.
