M/S 2 Cup Tea Apparels

Our little spot is on the first floor at F-462, right on Old M.B Road in Lado Sarai. It’s a busy area and the stairs up to the office are a bit narrow, so you have to watch your step. We called the place 2 Cup Tea Apparels because that’s mostly how we function—over a couple of cups of hot tea while we figure out the cutting and sewing. Lado Sarai has a specific kind of energy where everyone is trying to get something made. We aren't a big factory. We are just a small team working with fabric and thread. The tables are usually covered in scraps and paper patterns. Sometimes the light isn't the best, so we moved some lamps around to see the stitching better. It gets warm in the afternoons, especially in the summer, but the fans keep things moving. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or big signs. Most of our work comes from people who just know we are here on the first floor. We spend our hours measuring, cutting, and making sure the clothes look right before they get packed into bags. It’s not glamorous, but it keeps us busy. We like the routine of opening up, getting the kettle going, and then seeing what needs to be finished by evening. That is the reality of our work day here in the shop.
