Mocha

Mocha is located in Greater Kailash Part 1, a place that most people in New Delhi know pretty well. It’s a lively neighborhood, and we’re right in the thick of it. We spend our time making sure the place is ready for people to come in and hang out. It’s not a corporate office with cubicles; it’s a space that feels a bit more used and comfortable. We have a lot of tables, some old chairs, and the smell of coffee and food always hanging around. The staff here is mostly just regular folks who live around the area or take the bus in. We spend a lot of time cleaning up, setting things out, and making sure the kitchen is running. It gets loud sometimes, especially in the evenings when the crowds start to show up, but we’re used to the noise. There’s always something that needs fixing, like a wobbly table or a light that’s flickering, so there’s a bit of handy-work involved too. We don't have a scripted way of doing things. We just talk to people like they’re our neighbors, which they often are. It’s a bit messy at times, and the pace can get frantic when it’s busy, but that’s just how it is. We aren't trying to be anything fancy, just a local spot where people can sit for a bit while we keep things moving in the background.
