You can find us at the DDA Commercial Complex over in Mayfair Garden, which is right near Hauz Khas. It’s one of those older government-built complexes, so it’s got a specific look to it that hasn't changed much in years. Mechartes Researchers has been based here for some time now. Our space is 2 DDA, and it’s a functional place. We do a lot of research and technical work, so there are always papers, books, and diagrams spread out on the tables. It’s not the kind of office you see in movies with bean bags and espresso machines. We have a simple kettle for tea and some sturdy desks. The area around Hauz Khas is always lively, so there’s plenty of places to grab a quick bite when we aren't too busy. Sometimes the elevators in the complex are a bit slow or out of order, so we just take the stairs. It’s good exercise anyway. We have a small team of people who actually care about the details of what we’re researching. We don't put out a lot of newsletters or marketing stuff because we’re usually too deep into the projects themselves. People who need our kind of help usually find us by word of mouth or through professional circles. It’s a quiet, serious place to work, but we still have a laugh now and then during our lunch breaks. Being in this part of town feels right for us, as it’s central enough but still has that neighborhood vibe.
