You can find us at T-272 on the third floor of Gopal Apartment. We are right in the middle of the Jamia Nagar Okhla Main Market, which is one of the busiest places you could imagine. The streets are always packed with people, scooters, and vendors selling all sorts of food. Getting up to the third floor is a bit of a workout since the stairs are a little narrow, but that’s just how these buildings are. Inside, the rooms are filled with handicrafts we’ve collected. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes when new stock arrives, and we have to stack boxes wherever there’s a gap. We spend a lot of our time checking the items for any damage and packing them up for people who want them. It’s mostly family and a couple of helpers who run the place. We don’t have a fancy showroom, so things are just kind of kept in their boxes until someone needs to see them. The market noise comes right through the windows, so it’s never really quiet here. We’ve been in Okhla for a good while, and we like the energy of the market, even if it’s a bit much sometimes. It’s a practical setup for us since we are close to everything we need. We just keep our heads down and get the work done, surrounded by piles of handmade goods. It is a tight fit but it works for us. We just make sure the boxes are labeled properly before they go out.
