M. Y. Exports

M. Y. Exports is based at A-75 in Nizamuddin East. It is a nice part of town, relatively quiet compared to the markets, but we still have plenty of work to keep us on our toes. The office is basically just a few rooms filled with samples and packing materials. We spend a lot of time double-checking lists and making sure the labels are stuck on right. It isn't very glamorous work, but it fills the hours. We don’t have a lot of people coming in and out, so we usually just keep the door closed to keep the heat out. Sometimes we sit out on the steps during lunch just to watch the cars go by. We’ve been at this address for a while and the landlord is decent. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven’t found the time to move all the boxes to get it done. It’s more important that the shipments go out on the right day. We use a lot of tape and brown paper, and there’s always a roll of it sitting on the main table. We don't really do much in the way of advertising or trying to look bigger than we are. We just run our export business from this corner of Nizamuddin and try to keep things moving along without too much trouble. It is a small operation, but it keeps us busy.
