Lloyd Elecricals & Engineering, New Delhi

We've been here in Bersarai for a while now. The shop at 6A/23 is where we handle most of the daily work. People know us as Lloyd Elecricals & Engineering. It’s a busy spot in New Delhi, especially with all the students and residents living nearby. We mostly deal with electrical parts and engineering stuff that folks need for their homes or small projects. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded with parts laying around, but that’s just how we work. We don't have a big fancy office. It’s just us working through the list of things to get done each day. My uncle started this and we just kept it going. Most of the time, we're fixing things or sorting out supplies for local contractors. It isn't always quiet here because the street is narrow and there is always something happening outside. We try to keep things simple. If someone comes in looking for a specific wire or a motor part, we look through the shelves until we find it. It's nothing too complicated, really. We just show up every morning and see what needs doing. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit behind, but the actual engineering work gets finished. That’s what matters to the people who come here. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but we’re still at the same old address. It’s a decent living and we know our neighbors.
