Lard In Decor

Our workshop is at B 38 in the Lawrence Road Industrial Area, near the Delhi G P O. Being in an industrial area means it’s always loud with trucks and machinery, but that’s where the real work happens. We focus on decor items, so our space is usually filled with wood, metal scraps, and paint. It’s definitely not a clean, white-walled office. There is sawdust on the floor and tools everywhere. We like to get our hands dirty making things look good. Our team is a mix of people who have been doing this for decades and some younger guys learning the trade. We don't have a fancy showroom, so if customers want to see what we are making, they have to come right into the workshop. It can be a bit overwhelming with the smell of varnish and the sound of saws, but it shows how we actually work. The summer in Delhi is brutal in these industrial sheds, but we have big fans to keep the air moving. We aren't big on marketing or social media; we just rely on people seeing our work in other places and asking who made it. It’s a tough environment but we enjoy the process of building something from scratch. We just focus on the craft and try to get the orders finished on time despite the heat and the noise. That's pretty much what we do every single day here. We’ve been at this B 38 spot for quite a while now.
