Kashmir Handicrafts Emporium

We are Kashmir Handicrafts Emporium, and you’ll find us down in the basement at Ii-E-10 in Lajpat Nagar-Ii. Being in a basement means it stays a bit cooler in the summer, which is nice when you’re working all day. It’s a cozy spot, packed with all the different crafts we bring in. Lajpat Nagar is a busy market area, so there is always a lot of foot traffic upstairs. We like it down here though. It’s a bit quieter and gives us room to display everything properly. We don’t spend much on fancy decorations for the shop. The items we have usually provide enough color on their own. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for a while, and we’ve seen the market change quite a bit. But we just keep doing what we’ve always done. People come in looking for specific things, and we do our best to help them find what they want. It’s not a high-pressure environment. We just let people browse. Sometimes we’re busy unpacking new crates from back home, and other times it’s just us sitting with a cup of tea waiting for the next visitor. It’s a simple life, really. We focus on the actual goods we stock. If you’re wandering around Lajpat Nagar-Ii, just look for our sign and head downstairs. We’re usually there from morning until late evening, just keeping the shop going.
