Karnataka Breveries & Distillesied (P) Ltd.

Our spot is located at No. 17 on Sankey Road, and honestly, it’s a pretty busy part of town to be running a place like Karnataka Breveries & Distillesied (P) Ltd. The building itself has been here for years, and you can usually hear the sound of bottles clinking long before you walk through the main doors. Inside, it’s mostly just rows of stainless steel tanks and pipes everywhere you look. The air smells a bit like yeast and grain, which is something you just get used to after working here for a week or two. It gets quite humid in the back where the actual distilling happens, so the guys are always taking breaks to catch some air outside. We don’t have much of a reception area, just a small desk and a couple of chairs where the drivers wait for their paperwork. The traffic on Sankey Road can be a real headache during the afternoons when the trucks are trying to move in and out. Managing the inventory is a constant job because something is always being moved or stored in a different corner. There’s no big corporate vibe here, just a bunch of people making sure the machines don’t get jammed and the liquid keeps moving through the lines. Sometimes the floor gets a bit slippery from the wash-downs, but we try to keep it as tidy as a place like this can be.
