Kalakhetra

Kalakhetra is our little space located at 190 on the ground floor in Shahpur Jat. This neighborhood has changed a lot over the years, becoming quite a spot for different kinds of creative shops and designers. We fit right in there with the rest of them. We work on various artistic and design-related things throughout the week. It is a ground floor spot, so it is easy for people to just walk in from the street if they are passing by. The area is full of narrow lanes and old buildings, which gives it a lot of character and charm. We don't have a big corporate team or anything like that. It’s just us doing our work. Most days involve a lot of hands-on tasks, whether we are looking at fabrics, designs, or other materials we use. The shop can get a bit cluttered when we have a lot of projects going on at the same time. We like the vibe of Shahpur Jat because there are always other people around doing interesting stuff. It isn’t like a sterile office building in the city. We have windows that look out onto the street, and we see the same people walking by every morning. We don’t spend much time on fancy talk or marketing. We just focus on the items we’re making and the people who come in to see them. It is a practical way to run a business. We keep our hours regular and try to work hard.
