Jewel N Crafts

Our little shop, Jewel N Crafts, is located at E 15 in the Main Center Market of Lajpat Nagar. We are right opposite Dayal Saree, which is a big help for anyone trying to find us in the middle of all the shopping chaos. Lajpat Nagar is always packed, especially on weekends when you can barely move through the aisles. Being in the center market means we are right in the thick of it. The shop itself is small, but we’ve packed it with all sorts of items that we manage. There isn't much room for a lot of people at once, so it often feels quite cozy, or cramped, depending on how you look at it. I spend a lot of my day just making sure the displays are tidy because people are always picking things up and putting them back in the wrong spot. We don't have any big missions or corporate slogans. We’re just a local business trying to make a living in a very competitive market. The tea guy comes around twice a day, and that’s usually the highlight of the afternoon. It’s a lot of standing and talking, and by the time we close up, we’re usually pretty tired. But it’s a good kind of tired. We just keep things honest and work hard to stay organized in the middle of the Lajpat Nagar rush. It’s just how we do things here every day.
