J Salon

J Salon is tucked away on the ground floor at 6/45 in the Old Double Storey area of Lajpat Nagar 4. If you are looking for us, we are right in Gupta Market and not too far from the Bada Gurudwara, which most people in this part of Delhi know well. The shop is a local fixture and we have been here long enough to see the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. We aren't one of those big, polished chains you find in the malls; this is just a regular ground-floor shop with a few styling stations and some comfortable old chairs. The space can feel a bit small when we have a few people waiting, but we try to keep things moving along. We handle routine hair cutting and basic styling for the local residents who don't want to travel far. Most of our day is spent chatting with regulars while we work. Sometimes the tea seller from down the street drops by, and the whole place smells like cardamom for a while. We don't use any fancy marketing talk or try to sell you things you don't need. It is just a practical environment where we focus on the task at hand. The lighting is decent and we keep the mirrors clean enough to see what is going on. We like being part of Gupta Market and plan on staying right here at 6/45 for a long time to come.
