Indian Textiles & Aramco Fashion

We are tucked away in Lane No. 7 in Zakir Nagar. The address is No. 180/6. It is a crowded area, especially being so close to the Jama Masjid in Okhla. The streets are thin and there are people everywhere. At Indian Textiles & Aramco Fashion, we work in a space that feels smaller than it is because of all the stock. We have rolls of cloth stacked up to the ceiling in some places. The light inside is a bit dim, so we use a lot of tube lights. You can hear the calls from the masjid throughout the day. It is a very active neighborhood. The building itself is old and the walls are a bit uneven. We have a small area near the entrance where we check the finished pieces. The sewing machines are packed in close together. It gets hot in the summer, but that is just part of working here. We have a few stools for people to sit on, but most are standing or leaning over tables. The floor is made of old stone. There is always someone coming in to ask for directions or to drop off a package. It is a bit chaotic, but we know where everything is. The labels are kept in a drawer that sticks sometimes. It is just a local spot in Zakir Nagar where the workday starts early and ends late.
