Indian Buying House

We’ve been tucked away here at A-37 in Okhla Phase-I for a good while now. It’s a busy spot, always trucks moving around and people shouting over the noise of the machines nearby. Our day usually starts with a lot of tea and checking on what needs to go out. We handle the buying part for folks who can't be here themselves. It’s not always pretty, there is dust on the files and the printer acts up sometimes, but we get the work done. The office gets a bit hot in the summer months, but we have a decent fan. We spend a lot of time on the phone, talking to factories and checking if the colors are right or if the sizes match what was asked for. Sometimes things go wrong, a shipment gets delayed or the paperwork gets stuck, and we just have to figure it out as we go. It is mostly just about keeping track of things and making sure the boxes get loaded onto the trucks properly. We know the local guys around here well, the tea stall man and the courier drivers. It is a noisy life in this part of Delhi, but it’s what we know. We don’t have any fancy boardrooms or anything like that. Just some desks, a few samples hanging on the walls, and a lot of lists to check off before the sun goes down.
