Hind Orient International

Hind Orient International is on the second floor of 356/125-B, which is on Street Number 13 in Gaffar Manzil, Jamia Nagar. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, especially if the weather is humid, but we’re used to it by now. The street outside is usually full of people, rickshaws, and the general hum of the neighborhood. Being on the second floor gives us a bit of distance from the street noise, though it still drifts up through the windows. The office is pretty basic. We have a few desks, some filing cabinets that have been around for years, and a lot of papers stacked up. It’s not the kind of place where you’ll find modern glass walls or expensive furniture. We just have what we need to get through the day. Most of our work involves a lot of coordination and phone calls, so there is usually someone talking in the background. We have a small area where we make tea, and that’s pretty much the social hub of the office. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit by the window for a bit until it comes back on. It’s a very local feel here in Jamia Nagar. We know the shopkeepers downstairs and the people in the next building. We just come in, do our bits of international business, and go home like everyone else in the street. It is just a plain office.
