Heritage India Exports

We are located at 626 in Lado Sarai, which is where Heritage India Exports has been for a long time. Lado Sarai has a lot of history and you can feel it in the old buildings like ours. Our space is filled with all sorts of things we’ve collected over the years. It’s not very organized, but we know where everything is. The floors are made of old stone and they stay cool even when the sun is beating down outside. We spend most of our time talking to people who create things and then figuring out how to get those items to where they need to go. It’s a lot of manual work, checking boxes, and writing out labels by hand. We don't have any high-tech systems or fancy software. Just a couple of computers and some notebooks. The street outside can get quite narrow and congested, especially when the big trucks try to make a turn. We often stand out on the sidewalk to help guide them in. Our team is small, mostly family and a couple of friends we’ve known for decades. We don’t have a big mission statement or a polished brand. We just like the items we handle and we enjoy being part of the Lado Sarai community. Sometimes we sit on the steps in the evening and just watch the people go by. It’s a slow and steady way of running a business, and it suits us just fine.
