Hari Chand Sohan Lal

Hari Chand Sohan Lal is our family business, and we are located at Office No 1722/1 in Rishi Nagar, Kotla Mubarakpur. The name comes from my grandfather and his brother. They started this whole thing way back when the area was much quieter. We still use some of the same old wooden desks they had. The office is a bit cramped because we have so many files and ledgers from over the years. We haven't really moved into the digital age as much as some other places have. We still like to do things on paper. Kotla Mubarakpur is a very busy part of Delhi, and finding our office can be a bit tricky if you don't know the local landmarks. We’re tucked away in one of the side streets. It’s a bit quieter back here, away from the main road noise. I spend most of my day answering the phone and talking to people who come in. We don't have any fancy brochures or a PR team. It’s just us. My brother handles the accounts and I look after the customers. Sometimes we argue about where we left the keys or who forgot to turn off the lights, but that’s just how it is working with family. We’ve been here so long that the tea stall owner across the way doesn't even ask what we want anymore, he just brings it over at four. It’s an honest way to live.
