Our place is in the basement at E-102 in Kalkaji. It’s not the most glamorous spot, being downstairs and all, but it suits us just fine for running Handloom Export Products Of India. Kalkaji is a crowded area, so finding a decent workspace took some time. We spend most of our hours here dealing with different handloom items that come in and go out. It gets a bit cramped when new shipments arrive, but we manage to keep everything organized enough. The walls are mostly lined with shelves and boxes. We don't have a big fancy sign or anything like that out front. Most people who come to see us already know where the basement entry is. It can get a little cool down here in the winter, which is nice, but we usually have a heater going anyway. We handle all the export paperwork and check the quality of the fabrics right on the big central table. It is honest work and keeps us busy from morning until late evening. Sometimes we grab tea from the stall around the corner when things get too hectic. We aren’t trying to be some massive corporation; we just want to get the handloom goods to the people who ordered them. It’s a simple operation, really. We’ve been in this Kalkaji basement for a while now and the neighbors know us. It’s a good spot for us to stay focused.
