Gupta Masala Store

We’ve been running Gupta Masala Store in Dakshinpuri 2 for a long time. It’s a small shop, and you can usually smell the spices before you even see the door. We spend a lot of our time weighing out different seeds, powders, and mixtures for the local families who live around here. It’s a simple setup with big jars and bags everywhere. We don’t have a fancy marketing plan; we just try to keep fresh stuff on the shelves for our customers. Sometimes the floor gets a little dusty from the flour or the spices, but that’s just part of the trade we are in. People come in to chat as much as they do to shop, and we know most of the families around this part of Dakshinpuri quite well. It’s a bit cramped inside, so if there are more than three people at once, it gets a little tight. We don't use any high-tech scales, just the ones we’ve had for years because they still work fine. It’s not a modern grocery store with bright lights and music. It’s just a local spot where you can get what you need for your kitchen. We open early and stay open until the sun goes down. Most days we’re just busy bagging things up or talking to the regulars about their lives. It’s a quiet, steady life here at the store, and we like it that way.
