You can find us on the second floor of 181-B, Second Floor, Khirki Village, Malviya Nagar. It’s an interesting spot because the streets are narrow and you have to navigate through a lot of daily life just to get to the door. We spend our days surrounded by rolls of material and the smell of rubber and glue. Since we are on the second floor of 181-B, we have to haul everything up the stairs, which keeps us in shape. There are shoes in various stages of being finished all over the place. Some are just soles, others are waiting for laces. It’s a bit of a crowded space, but we have a system that works for us. The windows look out over the village roofs, and you can hear the kids playing or people talking down below. We have a couple of heavy sewing machines that make a rhythmic clicking sound all day long. It’s a small operation, and we don't have a fancy reception area. If someone comes by, they usually just find us at the worktables. We take turns making tea for the group. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when a big order needs to be packed, but we usually manage to get it done on time. Living and working in Malviya Nagar means we are close to everything. We just keep our heads down and focus on the footwear.
