Fancy Handicrafts

You can find us on the first floor of building I-81 in Lajpat Nagar-I. It is a very crowded part of the city, so there is always noise from the street below. We work with all kinds of handicrafts. It might be embroidered items one week and brass work the next. It depends on what people are looking for. We don't have a fancy display window since we are upstairs. Most of our visitors come up the narrow staircase because they heard about us from someone else. The rooms are filled with boxes and half-finished pieces. We have a few artisans who sit with us and do the fine work. It’s a bit cramped, but it feels like a real workshop. We drink a lot of tea while we work. The market outside is always changing, but we’ve stayed in this same spot for a long time. We don’t do big marketing campaigns or anything like that. We just focus on making sure the items are made well. Sometimes a customer wants something specific, and we try to see if we can make it happen. It is a small business run by people who actually care about the things they make. We are just regular folks trying to make a living in Lajpat Nagar. It’s a busy life, but we like being in the middle of everything here.
