Falah Handicrafts is tucked away at H-6/1B in Shahpur Jat. If you’ve been to Shahpur Jat, you know it’s a maze of little lanes and creative shops. We are near Asiad Village, which is a good landmark for people who get lost trying to find us. Our workshop is full of the things we make. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes, with scraps of material and tools lying around, but that’s just how it goes when you’re actually making things by hand. The air in here usually smells like the raw materials we use. We don't have a showroom with bright lights and mirrors. People just walk into the workspace and see us at it. We’ve been here for a good while, and we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit as more people move in. Despite the changes, we just keep doing what we do. It’s mostly just us and a few skilled workers sitting around, focusing on the details. We don't really have a boss who sits in a separate office; we’re all in the same room. It’s a bit loud with all the chatter, but it keeps the day moving. We aren't interested in being a big factory. We just like making things and being part of the Shahpur Jat community. It’s a simple way to earn a living without making a big fuss about it.
