Ego Cafe

You can find Ego Cafe at New Friends Colony 33. It’s a nice enough spot, though the parking around here can be a real headache most days. We started this place because we wanted somewhere to hang out, and it just grew from there. The furniture is a mix of stuff we found, so nothing really matches perfectly. We don't have a big staff, just a few people who know how to handle the kitchen and the floor. Sometimes the service is a bit slow because we make things as they are ordered, and if three tables show up at once, it takes time. We don't have a fancy mission statement or anything. We just keep the coffee hot and the food coming out. The windows get a bit smudged and we forget to change the music sometimes, but it’s a comfortable place. We’ve had the same regulars coming in for years now. They usually sit in the same chairs every time. We don't do much advertising. People usually just hear about us from their friends. It’s a bit quiet in the mornings, which is nice, but it picks up in the evening when the younger crowd shows up. We try to keep the prices fair so people can come back often. It’s not a corporate chain, it's just a local cafe where you can sit for an hour and nobody will bother you.
