E-Fashion

Govindpuri is a crowded place and it's always moving. Our shop, E-Fashion, is at 586a/6. It’s near Kalka ji, which is a very busy part of New Delhi. The lanes here are narrow and you have to be careful when you're walking through the crowd. We have a lot of clothes stuffed into a small space. It gets quite hot in the summer, so we have a couple of noisy fans going all day to keep the air moving. Sometimes the neighbor's dog comes and sits by the door to stay cool. We don't mind him at all. The mornings are usually spent unpacking new bundles of clothes. They come tied in big plastic sheets and it takes forever to hang them all up on the racks. We don't have a big sign or anything flashy to attract people. Just the name on the front above the door. People who live in the apartments nearby are our main customers. They come in looking for something simple to wear for their daily lives. We don't have any of those fancy dressing rooms with big mirrors. Just a small curtain in the corner. It's a bit messy sometimes, but we know where everything is kept. My hands always smell like new fabric by the end of the day. Delhi is a tough city, but we like our little corner here. We've been in Govindpuri for a long time.
