You can find us at 239 Sant Nagar, which is in the East of Kailash area. Masterji Fashion Pvt. Ltd. isn't some big brand store you’d see in a mall. It’s more of a local spot where there is always the sound of sewing machines or scissors cutting through fabric. The shop is usually full of different materials piled up on tables. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped because we have so many patterns and pieces of clothing waiting to be finished. We have a few people working here who have been doing this for years. They know how to handle the needles and the thread without even thinking about it. We see a lot of people from the neighborhood coming in for their clothes. The lighting isn't always perfect and the scrap bin fills up fast, but we get the work done. Sant Nagar is a lively place, so there is always noise from the street coming through the door. We don't have a receptionist or anything. If you walk in, you’ll probably see someone hunched over a machine or marking a piece of chalk on some silk. It’s a real workshop. We just try to keep up with the orders and make sure the sizes are right. It’s a lot of manual work and we stay busy from morning until late evening most days.
