Craftique Overseas

Craftique Overseas is located at 71-B, Gaffar Manzil, which is right near the nala in the Jamia Nagar area of Okhla. It’s a busy part of town, and the smell of the area is something you just get used to after a while. Our workspace is not fancy at all. It is basically just a few rooms filled with boxes, raw materials, and packing supplies. We handle a lot of different crafts that are meant to be sent overseas, so there is always a lot of bubble wrap and tape lying around. The noise from the street is constant, with rickshaws and people shouting, but we’ve learned to tune it out while we work. We don't have a big team or any managers. It’s just a handful of us who know how to get the packing done quickly. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just have to wait it out or work by the light from the door. The furniture in our office area is pretty old and the desk is covered in papers. We don't really do any advertising because most of our work comes through old contacts. It’s a lot of physical labor, moving crates and checking manifests. The days are long, and we usually end up pretty tired by the time we lock up. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living, and we’ve been doing it this way in Okhla for years without much change.
