You will find Comunity Crafts Exports Pvt. Ltd. on the ground floor at I/8 in Jangpura Extension. Being on the ground floor is handy for when we have to move boxes in and out, which happens more often than you would think. Jangpura is a nice area, relatively quiet compared to the main markets. We focus on a lot of different crafts that come in from different parts of the country. Our office is usually full of samples—textiles, woodwork, and all sorts of things. It can look a bit like a warehouse sometimes because we are always sorting through items for export. We started this because we liked the idea of working with handmade things, but these days it is a lot of paperwork and logistics. I spend a lot of time checking the quality of what arrives. If something is not right, we have to fix it before it goes anywhere else. The staff here is small, and we have all been together for a long time. We usually eat lunch together at one of the small tables in the back. It is not a high-pressure environment, but we do have deadlines to meet. The neighbors know us as the people with all the boxes.
