Chunmun Stores

Chunmun Stores is located at 1/148 A, on the second floor, over by Marani Bagh Chowk in New Delhi. It’s a busy intersection, and there is always a lot of honking and people moving around outside. Our flat, No. 4, isn’t very large, but we’ve made it work for what we need to do. We use the space to keep our stock and manage the orders that come in throughout the week. Being on the second floor means we get a bit of a view of the chowk, though it’s mostly just traffic and people rushing to work. It’s a very Delhi kind of setup—practical and right in the middle of everything. We don’t have a big fancy showroom with a lot of staff. It’s more of a hub where we get things ready. Sometimes the boxes are stacked all the way to the ceiling, and we have to move things around just to find a place to sit. It’s just us working here, usually with a small radio playing in the background. We don’t do much in terms of advertising or marketing. We find that people who know about us just tell their friends. The walk up the stairs keeps us active, since the building is one of the older ones. It’s an honest way to run a store, without all the bells and whistles of a big mall. We just focus on the items we have. It’s a bit cramped, but it works.
