Chasm, Mystic Monk

Our place is on the 2nd floor of House No. 9 in Rampuri, which is right in the Kalkaji area of New Delhi. The stairs are a bit narrow and steep, so you have to watch your step coming up. Once you get inside, it’s a bit of a different world from the noisy street outside. The pin code here is 110020. We have a couple of rooms that we use for various projects. The walls have some marks on them and the ceiling is a bit low. It gives the place a cozy, lived-in feeling that suits us. We have some old wooden furniture and a few rugs on the floor. The light comes in through the small windows and hits the dusty corners in the afternoon. Kalkaji is a crowded neighborhood, so there is always the sound of people talking or dogs barking nearby. We like being here because it feels real and grounded. It’s not a polished studio by any means. There is a small kettle in the corner for making chai when visitors stop by. We often spend long hours here, sometimes well into the night when the neighborhood finally goes quiet. The second floor gives us a little bit of distance from the ground level bustle. It’s a simple space for people who want to focus on their craft without any distractions. This house in Rampuri has been our base for some time now.
