Cafe Coffee Day

Green Park is a nice area, but it gets busy. We’re tucked in here and it’s mostly a place for people to hide from the sun for a bit. We spend our mornings checking the milk supply and making sure the chairs are straight. It’s not a huge place. We know the people who live nearby and come in for their same drink every morning. We don’t even have to ask them anymore, we just start the machine. The espresso grinder is loud and sometimes it gets jammed, which is a pain to fix when there’s a line. We have a few tables outside too, but they get dusty fast with the traffic nearby. We spend a lot of time with the glass cleaner because of all the fingerprints on the front door. It’s just us two or three staff members most of the time. We talk about the movies or what’s happening in the market while we wait for the next customer. The air conditioning is the most important thing we have, honestly. When it breaks, everyone is grumpy. We keep the music low and the coffee hot. It’s just a regular spot where you can get a cup and sit for as long as you want without anyone bothering you. That’s how we like it here at Cafe Coffee Day.
