Cafe Coffee Day

This specific spot is on Nafees Road in the Jogabai Extension, right in the middle of the Batla House area in Okhla. It’s a Cafe Coffee Day, but it feels a lot more like a local hangout because of where it is. We get a lot of students from Jamia coming in between their classes. They usually stay for a long time, just sitting with one cup of coffee and their books spread out everywhere. The place isn't huge, so it gets pretty crowded and noisy in the afternoons. We try to keep the tables clean, but with so many people coming in and out, it’s a constant battle. The staff here are just regular folks from the neighborhood or nearby areas. We aren't wearing those stiff suits. Usually, the music is playing in the background, but you can barely hear it over the talking. The address is F14/12, and it’s a bit of a maze getting here if you don’t know the Okhla streets. Sometimes the coffee machine acts up and we have to tell people to wait a few minutes while we fix it. It's not perfect, but it’s a nice break from the heat outside. We see the same faces every day, which is nice. It's more of a community spot than just a place to buy a drink. We just keep the beans grinding and the milk steaming for whoever walks in. It’s busy, loud, and very local.
