Cafe 79

Cafe 79 is tucked away at F/320 in the Lado Sarai Main Market, right on Old MB Road. It’s a bit of a maze around here with all the narrow lanes and the mix of shops and art galleries. We started this place because we liked the neighborhood and wanted a spot to hang out. It’s not a massive space. In fact, it can feel a bit cramped when we have more than a few people in at once, but we think that’s part of the charm. We did most of the painting ourselves. If you look closely at the corners, you can probably see where we missed a spot. We don't use fancy terms for our coffee or food. It’s just stuff we like to drink and eat. The market outside is always full of life, and sometimes the dust from the road blows in, so we’re always wiping down the tables. We get a mix of people—some who live nearby and others just passing through Lado Sarai. We don't have any big corporate goals. We just want to keep the lights on and the kitchen running. Some days the sink acts up or the fridge makes a weird humming sound, but we manage. It’s a simple life running a small cafe. We’re just here every day, making sure things are ready for whoever walks in. It’s a local business through and through, nothing more and nothing less.
