Brew Cafe Coffee

If you walk through the Hauz Khas Market and head toward the Open To Sky Mall, you’ll find us at 18, E, in the mall building. Brew Cafe Coffee isn’t one of those massive chains with matching furniture and perfect lighting. We’ve got a few tables and a coffee machine that hums a bit too loud sometimes. It gets pretty lively in here, especially in the afternoons when people are looking for a break from shopping or just want to sit for a minute. The mall has a lot of energy and we kind of just fit into the corner of it. We spend a lot of time making sure the beans are ground right and the milk is hot enough. Sometimes the orders pile up and things get a little frantic behind the counter, but we try to keep our cool. It’s a small space, so you get to know the people who come in every day. We’ve seen students studying for hours and friends catching up after a long time. The Hauz Khas area is always changing, but we’ve stayed pretty much the same. We don’t have a big corporate manual or anything. We just show up, open the doors, and start brewing. It’s a lot of standing on your feet and washing cups, but it feels good when the place is full of people chatting. The mall environment is nice because there’s always something to see out the window near the stairs.
